KUALA TERENGGANU: A 16-month-old baby girl died after allegedly being left inside a car at a public university in the Kuala Nerus district on Tuesday (Oct 24).
GEORGE TOWN: A 15-year-old school student who fell from the Penang Bridge on Tuesday evening was rescued by a group of fishermen.
Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the girl was pulled out by the fishermen who happened to be at sea. "Firemen arrived at the scene at KM3.4 of the bridge heading towards George Town after receiving a call from the public at 7.10pm," said the spokesman. The spokesman said the victim was brought to a fisherman jetty at Butterworth before being handed over to police.
