The first of Bonza’s five planes are leaving the country for Honolulu after the budget carrier’s aircraft were repossessed by lessor AIP Capital last week.

Flights across the country were cancelled and former Bonza customers were left stranded.

Hall Chadwick released a statement that said it tried to negotiate with AIP to keep the planes in the short term, but it was not possible. Mr Jordan confirmed the news in an email to staff members, adding he was hopeful of finding another way for the airline to return to business. "The administrators are very focused on doing all possible to get us back into the Australian skies, and there are several ways this can progress forward," the email read.
