Where to turn in your illegal fireworks on July 2 in Mission Hills and receive a gift card, while supplies last.
Parent volunteer Heleana Ryan organizes inventory at the fireworks stand for the Canyon High School Education Foundation located in Sycamore Plaza on N. State College Boulevard in Anaheim on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. While legal fireworks are sold in Orange County, all sale and use of fireworks — outside of professional shows — is illegal in the city of Los Angeles. The second annual fireworks collection by the city of Los Angeles is scheduled on Saturday, July 2, at Brand Park in Mission Hills.
The use of all fireworks is illegal in the city of Los Angeles — including the “Safe and Sane” labeled fireworks. The anonymous collection will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Place the fireworks in the trunk of your vehicle before arriving at the park. A gift card, while supplies last, will be given out with the drop-off.
The buy-back event will be held in the parking lot at Brand Park, 15121 S. Brand Blvd., Mission Hills.
