Although crews requested a mayday response, the firefighter was able to get out of the area he fell in by himself, according to the report.
The fire broke out just before 5 p.m. on the second and third floors of the residence, Hutchinson told the outlet. It was under control by around 5:45 p.m. that three homes were impacted by the fire, displacing one resident. Two homes sustained smoke damage from the fire.
