DEVELOPING: A wildfire burning in Golden Gate Canyon has triggered evacuations and is threatening at least one home in the area
The fire, which has been named the Bear Fire, was reported in the the 4200 block of Bear Road around 6 p.m. Saturday. The fire is located northwest of Golden.
Deputies and firefighters were going door to door to evacuate residents, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's office. Four homes have been evacuated and additional homes are under a pre-evacuation notice, the sheriff's office said.
