The blaze destroyed the Pickle King building in Paterson, the city's mayor said.
First responders were dispatched to
at about 6 a.m. Saturday, according to Jerry Speziale Jr., the city’s public safety director. They spent hours fighting the blaze.“They’re still actively putting water on it, but it appears to be under control at this time,” Speziale said.The building is adjacent to Panther Academy, but firefighters were able to stop the blaze from spreading to the high school, Sayegh said.
