JOHOR BARU: The Fire and Rescue Department has spent more than RM200,000 to buy 10 units of specialised auto sprayer for sanitisation and disinfection.
Its operations director Nor Hisham Mohammad said the machines, costing about RM23,000 each, were ordered from France.
“This machine works well in confined spaces or rooms, ” he said, adding that for luggage of passengers, personnel would still manually spray with disinfectant. The department had also sanitised business premises, public flats, places of worship, markets and public transport terminals throughout the country.
