abc.net.au/news/fire-at-indonesias-pertaminas-fuel-storage-station-kills-17/102053542At least 17 people have been killed when a fire broke out at a fuel storage station operated by Indonesia's state energy company Pertamina in the capital Jakarta, an official at the city's main firefighting unit says.

Most of the injured people suffered from burns and the government will pay for their medical treatment, Jakarta's acting governor Heru Budi Hartono told reporters. Siswandi, a 21-year-old resident, said the scene "was chaotic, as we were running away alongside injured victims who were half burned, and it caused panic among people," adding that he was taking all of his valuable documents from his house.

Pertamina said in a statement that the cause of the incident was still being investigated and that evacuation efforts were ongoing.

Mr Houghton said the Treasurer looked “visibly uncomfortable” when he was questioned by Nine’s Today Show on whether the government broke an election promise. “That was nothing compared to what he looked like when fronting Seven's Sunrise host David Koch,” he said. “When he gave a textbook lesson on how to pin down a subject.” Mr Chalmers’ comments prompted a “frantic” Prime Minister to rush to the ABC to rebuke his own Treasurer and try to gain control of the debate, Mr Houghton added.
