Kuala Lumpur: Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau urged the Government to fill the position of Deputy Police Chief in several District Police Headquarters in Sabah .
“The absence of a Deputy District Police Chief in these IPDs may place an additional burden on the respective District Police Chiefs, especially in the administrative field, as they have to bear the entire workload without a deputy,” he said during the Debate Session on the Penal Code Bill 2024 at the Parliamentary Sitting, here, on Wednesday.
“This is important to ensure that the administration of the Royal Malaysia Police in maintaining and preserving public safety and order, including in matters of cyber security, is more assured and can be implemented more efficiently,” he said.Earlier, Madius said the effort to amend the Bill was the right step taken by the government.
