Forty-five percent of adult Filipinos believe their quality of life will improve in the year ahead, results of the latest Social Weather Stations survey show.

Conducted from Sept. 29 to Oct. 2 among 1,500 respondents, the SWS poll also found 4 percent expecting the quality of their life to worsen in the next 12 months, while 39 percent said it will stay the same. These resulted in a net personal optimism score of “excellent” +40 , slightly falling from +42 recorded in June.

The two-point decline in the national net personal optimism score was due to decreases in Luzon outside Metro Manila and Mindanao, combined with increases in Visayas and Metro Manila, SWS said.
