Kota Kinabalu: A Filipino factory worker was jailed 10 months jail on Friday for assaulting his supervisor, last week.
Arjun Damli Julhasad, 38, pleaded guilty before Magistrate Stephanie Sherron Abbie to voluntarily causing hurt to Md Niezam Firdaus Saidin, 22, on July 3, at the Cement Industries Sdn Bhd in Sepanggar.The prosecution said while the complainant was on duty, Arjun intentionally stepped on his supervisor’s foot without apologising.

As a result of the incident, the complainant sustained injuries, including lacerations on his head for which he received three stitches as well as bruises and scratches on the face.He was charged under Section 323 of the Penal Code carries a jail term of up to one year or fine or up to RM2,000 or both, on conviction.
