PUTRAJAYA: The Putrajaya Light and Motion Festival has returned for the seventh year, this time highlighting the ethnic and cultural diversity in Malaysia.

“This is something that we should be proud of, and efforts to cause division and racial tension among the people of this country should be rejected, ” said Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad after launching the festival at the Putrajaya Square. Khalid said in addition to the projection mapping presentation on the facade of the Palace of Justice, the event also featured several new attractions including ‘Planetarium 360’.

Other attractions include “Laman Kampung Melayu”, China Town Street, Little India Street, live street music, wayang kulit , wayang pacak , fire eating presentations and children’s activities.Meanwhile, Putrajaya Corporation president Datuk Dr Aminuddin Hassim said up to 1.5 million visitors were expected at the four-night festival.
