Crypto payment will be accepted only for U.S. customers for now, but the program is expected to be extended to European customers soon.

Following requests made by its affluent customers, Ferrari will now accept cryptocurrency for its luxury sports cars. The option is currently available to only U.S. customers. However, Ferrari's chief marketing and commercial officer Enrico Galliera stated it will be available for European customers soon, per a Reuters report.Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum have been extremely volatile in the past. This makes them less practical for use in commerce.

Galliera addressed the environmental concern by stating in an interview with Reuters 'Our target to reach for carbon neutrality by 2030 along our whole value chain is absolutely confirmed.' The push to accept crypto came from Ferrari clients who invest in the currency. Some Ferrari customers can afford the cars because of their investments in crypto, so offering it as a payment option makes sense.
