KOTA KINABALU: Federal government departments and agencies in Sabah will continue to observe the fourth phase of the movement control order till May 12 except for critical services, says state Federal Secretary Datuk Samsuni Mohd Nor.
He said that federal agencies would observe the state government’s decision to not adopt the conditional movement control order that goes into effect on Monday .
Samsuni said that only critical departments and agencies like the National Registration Department will operate to ensure that services to the peopleHe added that if a federal government department needs to operate, it will have to follow the standard operating system that is in place. “As of May 4, we are still in the phase four of MCO, we are subject to the state government’s decision, ” he said.During his Labour Day message, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said that the federal government has allowed for most sectors of the economy to begin operations.
However, Sabah decided to continue the MCO until May 12 and decided not to adopt the conditional MCO.
