Federal Court refixes Najib’s, son’s RM1.7bil tax appeals for June FMTNews

Najib Razak and son Nazifuddin Najib are appealing summary judgments entered against each of them for tax arrears of RM1.69 billion and RM37.6 million, respectively.

“Last week, we received a letter from the court registry that the March 13 hearing date has been rescheduled,” he told FMT, adding that the appeal will be heard online.The former prime minister and his son are appealing against the summary judgment obtained by the Inland Revenue Board for tax arrears on RM1.7 billion from them.

Both Najib and Nazifuddin lost their initial appeals to the Court of Appeal from the summary judgment in September 2021.
