The judge presiding over that case has also granted permission to offer as evidence the infamous 2016tape in which Trump brags about grabbing women by the genitals. Excerpts from a five-hour deposition taken by Trump last year will also be presented.Trump, however, is not required to be there, and Carroll’s lawyers have indicated they do not intend to call him as a witness. He could decide to testify in his own defence - although it is not clear at this stage whether he will do so.
