PETALING JAYA: Malaysia mencatatkan aliran masuk pelaburan langsung asing (FDI) berjumlah RM40.4 bilion, susut berbanding RM75.4 bilion yang direkodkan pada tahun sebelumnya, menurut Jabatan Perangkaan.

Ketua Perangkawan, Datuk Seri Dr. Mohd Uzir Mahidin berkata, ia selaras dengan laporan Pemantauan Trend Pelaburan Global UNCTAD 2024 yang menekankan bahawa aliran FDI ke negara-negara membangun menurun kira-kira 9.0 peratus, berjumlah AS$841 bilion“Khususnya, rantau Asia yang sedang membangun menurun sekitar 12 peratus kepada AS$584 bilion, dengan FDI ASEAN menurun kira-kira 16 peratus,” katanya dalam kenyataan.
“Sektor pembuatan kekal sebagai penyumbang utama kepada keseluruhan pendapatan meskipun aliran masuk bersih lebih rendah, dengan menjana RM41.9 bilion, terutamanya disokong oleh subsektor elektrik, peralatan pengangkutan dan subsektor pembuatan lain,” ujarnya.
