Scott Gottlieb, commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, resigned Tuesday, effective in about a month, according to the Washington Post.
The Post report said Gottlieb had spoken to President Donald Trump, who did not want him to leave. An administration official told the Post Gottlieb wants to spend more time with his family in Connecticut. The Wall Street Journal also cited a person familiar with the matter that Gottlieb was resigning.
