(Reuters) - Google has asked the U.S. government to break up Microsoft's exclusive agreement to host OpenAI's technology on its cloud servers, the Information reported on Tuesday.
KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI gapped below the 50-day simple moving average on Wednesday as the profit-taking on the local market continued ahead of a key US inflation report later today.
As fears of higher-than-expected inflation returns, investors are anxiously watching the economic data for signs the Federal Reserve might have a reason to halt its easing cycle in January. Despite the uncertain external environment, Rakuten Trade reiterated its conviction that local buyers will prevail with further upsides in store for the FBM KLCI.
On the blue-chip index, notable decliners included PETRONAS Dagangan shedding 32 sen to RM19.72, Hong Leong Bank dropping 22 sen to RM20.52 and Kuala Lumpur Kepong falling 18 sen to RM21.42.
