A semi-truck driver has died after reportedly colliding with a median on Interstate 80.
According to Sgt. Cameron Roden with Utah Highway Patrol, that crash happened a short time before 10 p.m. on westbound I-80 between milepost 136 and 137 at Lambs Canyon in Parleys Canyon. Roden said a semi-truck collided with the left median wall, causing it to overturn and slide across the roadway, obstructing the right-hand lanes.As a result of the crash, all westbound lanes of I-80 were shut down. Drivers were advised to use an alternate route as the closure is expected to last for at least three hours or possibly longer as UHP investigates the crash and crews work to clear the scene.
