The Mufti of Singapore, Dr Nazirudin Mohd Nasir, in a video clip uploaded onto the media page of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore today, said: “According to calculations, the crescent moon of Ramadan cannot be seen over the horizon of Singapore when the sun sets this evening because it is too small and does not meet the criteria of imkanur rukyah, which have been agreed by the member countries of MABIMS .
In conjunction with the month of Ramadan, he invited all Muslims to fulfil their obligation to fast and worship with full appreciation and kindness.
