A San Antonio man has been given a prison sentence of one year and a day for preparing false tax returns. Eden Garza, 43, helped prepare 49 false income tax returns for his clients between the tax years of 2014 and 2019, according to court documents. Garza falsified filing statuses, itemized deductions, income, expenses and residential energy credits, the U.S. Department of Justice said. He received a preparation fee from his clients, usually 10 percent of the tax return.
Rodrick J.
