A letter warning residents of a major spike in power prices has resurfaced after the information was labelled 'gutless propaganda'.
Tasmanian Premier Jeremy Rockliff has accused state Labor of sending"fake power bills" to residents across the state.
Designed to look like an energy bill, the letter warned Tasmanians of an extra $428 in their power bill under the Rockliff Liberal government. "This is gutless propaganda, you need to take a good hard look at yourselves scaring vulnerable Tasmanians," he said in parliament. Earlier on Wednesday, Opposition Leader Rebecca White questioned if Tasmania was running out of power because the state was facing difficulties supplying electricity, particularly to industrial customers.
