Tutuldukan na raw ang K-12 program matapos umaksiyon sina Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at Vice President at Department of Education Secretary Sara Duterte.
Pinamagatan ang isang YouTube video: “KAKAPASOK LANG GRABE! PBBM at VPSARA NILUSOB ang DEPED, K-12 PROGRAM ni PNOY OFFICIAL ng TINANGGAL?!” Ginamit din sa video ang clip ng mensahe nina Marcos at Duterte sa ginanap na Basic Education Report 2023. Sa kahabaan ng kanilang mensahe ay nakalagay ang mga tekstong “GOODNEWS! K-12 PROGRAM TUTULDUKAN NA! PRES BBM at VP SARA UMAKSYON NA!” Ang YouTube video na naglalaman ng sabi-sabi ay mayroon nang 31,121 views.
Ibinahagi rin ni Duterte na kasalukuyang isinasapinal ang curriculum ng Kinder hanggang Grade 10, habang nasa ilalim pa ng review ang curriculum ng senior high school.kung bubuwagin ang K-12 na programa. Sa kasalukuyan, walang batas, kahit panukalang batas na nakahain sa Kongreso, na naglalayong buwagin ito.
