Facelifted Porsche 911 GT3 RS Steps Out For The First Time

Expect even more downforce and a few extra horses when the 992.2 version of the RS debuts, probably in 2026

Porsche ’s 992.2 GT3 RS has been spotted in facelifted form for the first time. The revised track weapon will stick with naturally aspirated flat-six power, but it will get a bump from the 2024 car’s 518 hp rating. Production cars will get bumper and aero upgrades not seen on this early prototype. When Porsche revealed the facelifted 992.2 version of the 911 earlier this year it only gave us two new models, the GTS Hybrid and base Carrera.

Inside, carbon bucket seats and fabric door pulls will be the order of the day, plus a fully digital instrument cluster, a feature that made its 911 debut on the new Carrera and GTS. The big question is whether the GT3 and RS will also borrow the GT3’s hybrid tech to help deliver more power without resorting to turbocharging and losing one of the cars’ major USPs. The current GT3 RS makes 518 hp from its naturally aspirated 4.
