Facebook has started adding labels to all posts shared by federally-elected officials and presidential candidates

Posts that mention vote-by-mail specifically will point to a section of the same website with state-by-state instructions about how to register to vote through the mail.that it has enabled voter suppression and misinformation, last month Facebook made a push to highlight its voter registration efforts which have included displaying registration information on the top of the news feed for all American users above voting age.

The company has previously stated that it aims to help at least 4 million voters register for the upcoming election using its platforms including Facebook, Instagram and Messenger. Facebook said it is building its own website with voting information and, eventually, will add labels to everyone’s posts about voting with a link to its own site,
