After a string of controversial misconduct allegations, Ezra Miller spoke publicly for the first time in nearly 2 years at The Flash premiere.

With The Flash premiering, actor Ezra Miller spoke publicly for the first time since the start of their misconduct allegations. When Miller’s Barry Allen was first introduced into the DCEU in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice alongside the rest of the Justice League, The Flash was set up for a bigger future in the franchise. This led to the development of the solo The Flash film, with Miller reprising their role.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The Flash premiered Monday night at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, where Miller made their first public appearance since their allegations began. Speaking to the crowd, they thanked a multitude of individuals like Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, The Flash’s director Andy Muschietti and producer Barbara Muschietti, and DC co-chairs Peter Safran and James Gunn.

Ezra Miller's Allegations & Controversies Explained The allegations against Miller first started in 2020 after a video was released of the actor seemingly choking a woman and then slamming her to the ground. Both parties have since spoken out about the incident, and while the woman and her friends claimed to instigate the encounter, Miller’s escalation of the situation was cause for major concern.

In June 2022, Miller was accused of housing a woman and her children in an “unsafe environment” in Vermont that included the children’s exposure to unattended firearms and heavy marijuana use. In the report to The Rolling Stone, the woman claimed that Miller was helping her escape an abusive situation with her ex, though as of August 2022, Miller claimed that the family did not live at the Vermont farm anymore.

Members of the Oglala Sioux tribe Chase Iron Eyes and Sara Jumping Eagle accused Miller of grooming their child, Tokata Iron Eyes, in 2022, with their relationship starting in 2016 when Miller was 23 and Iron Eyes was 12. Iron Eyes has denied the accusations, and though her parents were granted a temporary order of protection, it was eventually dismissed.
