The Express-News is relaunching Texas Take, one of its longest-running and most-read newsletters, as Texas Take with Jeremy Wallace.

Every weekday at 6:30 p.m., I will help catch you up on politics across Texas and share way too many Willie Nelson references like I do in the Texas Take podcast. I'll share analysis and go beyond the average story, as well as take stock of who's trending up and down in Texas politics — like a daily stock market report.

Originally from San Antonio, I’ve survived mini-exiles covering politics in New York, Washington, D.C. and Florida over the last 30 years just to get back home to real food and live music at Saxon Pub, John T. Floore's Country Store and McGonigel’s Mucky Duck.
