Experts will explain what squids and space have in common at the Space Center Saturday
The James Webb Space Telescope captured the central region of the Chamaeleon I dark molecular cloud, which is 630 light years away.Experts will explain how studying something like an octopus can relate to space exploration this Saturday at the Space Center in Houston.
The scientific meeting is part of Cephalopod Week, a country wide partnership with science centers, local radio stations, museums and aquariums to teach the public about life forms that include octopi, squids and cuttlefish.. Houston's cephalopod day will host NASA astronaut, oceanographer and engineer, Megan McArthur, to explore how the two fields can teach each other. McArthur spent 200 days in space aboard the International Space Station conducting research. Also joining her will be squid biologist, Diana Li, and science podcast "Science Fridays" news director, John Dankosky.
