South Australia’s SES Chief of Staff Graeme Wynwood says levees that were already existing or man-made have “stood up pretty well” amid flooding in the state.

“There have been a number of them that have had some breaches over the period of time, but they’ve been managed as the events gone on,” he told Sky News Australia.

“And there are some levees that have overtopped in some areas, but again that’s been managed, and it’s not causing any immediate issues.”
