EXCLUSIVE — During the National Safer Communities Summit in June, President Joe Biden claimed people in Philadelphia were selling AR-15s out of trucks. It was a preposterous claim predicated on hysteria and misinformation. Biden said it to appeal to his audience and anti-gun-loving base. Yet I knew his statements were not based on reality.
First, I was informed that my request was received and told that the Philadelphia Police Department would notify me “as soon as we receive a confirmation of yes/no.” I hadn’t heard anything a few days later, so I decided to follow up. Shortly after, the PPD confirmed my beliefs and said Biden’s claim was incorrect.
I then contacted ATF and asked it the same question. It also replied that it was unable to confirm Biden’s claim.
