Ex-student activist under fire for ‘hypocritical’ stand on LGBT rights
Penang PKR Youth information chief Fahmi Zainol has come under fire from the online community, with one person tweeting that he 'used to oppose Umno, today he has become like Umno'. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, March 11, 2019.

Twitter users, including human rights activist Ambiga Sreenevasan and others who had supported him in his case two years ago, reminded him that he had once fought for constitutional rights but now appeared to be no different from Umno.
