IPOH: Former Perak Gerakan secretary Liew Kar Tuan has joined MCA.
He submitted his application form to state MCA vice-chairman Tony Khoo during a simple ceremony here on Friday .Liew, a lawyer by profession, said he had resigned from Gerakan earlier this year to focus on doing things that he could not do while in the party.“After quitting the party, it gave me a lot of time to consider my options, and I opted to join MCA. I feel they are the right platform for me to serve the community, ” he said.
Liew had contested the Canning state seat but lost to DAP’s Jenny Choy during the 14th General Election.
