Authorities say he ‘was struck with a vehicle’ after a pickup basketball game.
WASHINGTON: Terrell Owens wasn’t injured when he was hit by a car yesterday in Calabasas, California, after an argument, according to the Los Angeles County sheriff’s department.
Owens and another person argued during a pickup basketball game, and Owens subsequently “was struck with a vehicle”, sheriff’s sergeant Maria Navarro told the Los Angeles Times.The sheriff’s department confirmed that Owens did not need medical attention.Owens, 49, was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018 after a 15-year NFL career.A third round draft pick of the 49ers in 1996, Owens spent eight years in San Francisco.
He subsequently played for the Philadelphia Eagles , Dallas Cowboys , Buffalo Bill and Cincinnati Bengals .He ranks third in NFL history in receiving yards and receiving TDs and eighth in receptions. Owens made his only Super Bowl appearance with the Eagles after the 2004 season, a loss to the New England Patriots, though he had nine catches for 122 yards.
