Ex-MARii CEO charged with accepting RM5mil bribe FMTNews
Ex-MARii CEO Madani Sahari is accused of receiving RM5 million to assist a company in obtaining the letter of award for a RM12 million project.
SHAH ALAM: The former CEO of a government agency has pleaded not guilty to a charge of accepting a RM5 million bribe two years ago, at the sessions court here. Madani Sahari, who used to lead the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and Internet of Things Institute , was accused of receiving the said sum from one Khow Chuen Wah to assist Syarikat Aspire Knowledge Sdn Bhd in obtaining the letter of award for a RM12 million project.MARii is an agency under the investment, trade and industry ministry .
