Ex-George Santos roommate says rep had 'delusions of grandeur', stole scarf

“His mother was a housekeeper in Manhattan,” Morey-Parker added, “and it just didn’t seem feasible for him supposedly to to come from all this generational wealth, if you will.”combining his middle name and mother’s maiden name.Santos has admitted to lying about his— as well as a claim that he was a real estate tycoon with 13 properties.
Indeed, the freshman lawmaker was so hard up for cash that he admitted to stiffing a Queens landlord for some $12,000. Gregory Morey-Parker, who once lived with Santos, said Santos was wearing his own Burberry scarf at a “Stop the Steal” rally.But then I thought, ‘Well, maybe I was wrong,’ you know, after the election, because I’m sure the DCCC [Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee] and RNC [Republican National Committee] would have, you know, investigated him and at least his opponent would have done some opp[osition] research,” Morey-Parker said.
“I don’t understand. Like, did he go one by one to everybody in his district and just literally pull the wool over their eyes? Like how? it’s just flabbergasting.”
