Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has refuted rumours making the rounds suggesting that he is planning to embark on another medical vacation in Germany. In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, the Governor urged the people of Ondo State and Nigerians at large to dismiss the false and misleading claims.
According to Akeredolu, the false claims were being propagated by politicians with ulterior motives. The Governor, who recently returned to the country five weeks ago from medical vacation, expressed disappointment with the individuals behind the rumors, labeling them as 'evil-minded politicians' who have been dissatisfied with his return to the state.
'For us, we are committed to addressing the genuine concerns of the people of the State. This is why development is prioritised under the Akeredolu administration. 'Governance is not about showbiz, where the governor embarks on fashion parades at the market square to announce his presence in the State. 'We understand the importance of development as the major driver of a peaceful, thriving, and egalitarian society.
