Chicago police are investigating at least 6 armed robberies in 1 hour on Grace, Superior and more. The suspects got in a fiery Ravenswood crash.
Four suspects are now in police custody following officer pursuit that ends in a fiery crash.The crash happened at the intersection of North Oakley Avenue and West Winona Street in Ravenswood.
"My friends thought that I got shot and whatnot. I was bleeding, and that's when everything was a blur," Oszak said. She was left unconscious on the ground before being taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital with injuries to her face. The offenders escaped until hours later, when Vasquez said, police chased down who the group they believe are behind the series of overnight armed robberies.
"Because we had neighbors who had ring cameras set up, they were able to see the individuals were actually hiding in a garage by one of the apartments," Vasquez said. "I think the best possible outcome for a really crazy morning," Brandt said. "The first thing I heard was the crash, but there's construction right here, so my immediate thought was that it was perhaps a nail gun or something. But then, the next thing I heard was the police car go down the alleyway, going probably 60 miles an hour."
