A new animated Mario movie, more Switch Online titles, and the latest LEGO collaboration were among the announcements
Over the weekend Nintendo celebrated its annual Mario Day celebration on March 10. That celebration included a cornucopia of sales on Switch games and accessories—some of which you can still take advantage of by checking out our sales guide— and a few surprise announcements from Nintendo itself in honor of the beloved plumber. These announcements included confirming release dates for upcoming games, reviving some retro classics, and a message from Mario creator Shigeru Miyamato.
Release dates for two upcoming games We already knew about the Luigi’s Mansion 2 remaster and the Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door remake coming to Nintendo Switch, but we didn’t have release dates until now. Both announcements were made via official Nintendo social media accounts on Mario Day. The Thousand Year Door will be released first on May 23rd, with Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD coming a month after on June 27.
