“Everything Everywhere All At Once,” “Triangle of Sadness,” and “Plan 75” are headed back to the Philippine big screen for a limited run.

One of the stars of Ruben Östlund’s Palme d’Or-winning film is Filipina actress Dolly de Leon, whose scene-stealing performance as a luxury cruise toilet cleaner earned her a historic Best Supporting Actress nomination at the Golden Globes.

Finally, another Filipina making a mark in the international scene is Fil-Japanese actress Stefanie Arianne, who plays a caregiver in the Japanese dystopian drama “Plan 75.” Chie Hayakawa’s full-length debut is Japan’s submission to the 90th Academy Awards. Though it didn’t make the final nomination, critics worldwide still hailed it as one of the best films of 2022.
