Last night's Game of Thrones was a big let down, with bad moments that occurred across nearly every plotline in the extended fourth episode.
was not like the previous week’s, where you could debate whether or not the epic Battle of Winterfell was good or not. Rather, it was a bad episode made up of a string of unequivocally bad moments that I was disappointed to see unfold this late in the game.last night, it was pretty much all of them. And the extended runtime of the episode only served to create more opportunities for even more mistakes.
when dragons are supposed to be borderline invincible speed machines that have only been shot out of the sky once in history or taken out by ultra-magic overlord the Night King with his ice spear C) Dany has no other plan but to charge directly at the fleet, rather than say, flying around the back of them so quickly they can’t turn in time, or flying at the straight from above because no way on earth those things can shoot vertically
I hated everything about this, and that was a very ignoble end for one of the dragons, though I suppose it does reinforce that Dany is losing her grip on power, and symbolically, her grip on Jon.
As you can see, I am…not pleased with last night’s episode, and I didn’t even have it spoiled for me. I hope things improve, but man, that was rough for one of the last episodes ever.
