European stocks open higher as travel stocks climb
European stocks opened higher Friday, buoyed by a strong Wall Street finish as well as data showing rising Chinese industrial production. The Stoxx Europe 600 SXXP, +1.13% ] rose 1.1% and the U.K.
added 1.3%. Cruise operator Carnival CCL, +7.97% surged 9% and easyJet EZJ, +5.74% climbed 5%. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average YM00, +0.39% edged up 86 points.
