A giant banner reading in German"In the heart" is displayed at the stands as Frankfurt supporters wave flags during the Europa League quarterfinals, second leg soccer match between Eintracht Frankfurt and Benfica at the Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt, Germany, Thursday, April 18, 2019. Frankfurt went 6-0 in the Group Stages, including a 4-0 trouncing of Olympique Marseille - last season’s defeated finalists - and a 4-1 hammering of Italian giants Lazio.
One might ask, then, just how this team have got to be so good on such a small budget. Firstly, some of the credit must go to their manager, Adi Hütter, who has managed to craft a team that is very strong defensively, but also adept enough in the attack to steam-roller opposition. Frankfurt have the third-best defense in the Bundesliga, with Hütter utilizing a back three built around Evan N’Dicka - just €5.
