The European Union agreed to hit Moscow with another round of sanctions and issue a price cap on Russian oil exports in an attempt to target its war chest.

"The package contains: Prohibition of maritime transport of Russian oil to third countries above the oil price cap and a ban on related services," the Czech Republic, which currently holds the rotating presidency, said in a statement posted to Twitter. The eight sanctions package is also set to expand stipulations on other Russian goods like cigarettes, steel products, paper, machinery and more.
