GEORGE TOWN: The Esplanade came alive with an air of festivity and gaiety to mark the Chap Goh Meh celebration.
A large crowd gathered to watch performances that showcased Penang as a melting pot of diverse cultures.
Apart from stage shows, hawker stalls lining the streets around the venue also added to the carnival atmosphere. They also enjoyed cultural dances, drum performances, spring dance party besides trying their hands on several art workshops.The spectators were also enthralled by the LED Acrobatic Lion Dance routines.
