Filipino-French restaurateur and content creator Erwan Heussaff won the Social Media Account category of the James Beard Media Awards, which some have referred to as the Oscars of the culinary world. The award recognizes the works of individuals in creating food and beverage-related content.
On Sunday, June 4 , the prestigious award-giving body announced its winners of the 2023 James Beard Foundation Media Awards. Erwan, Andrew Huang, Ewa Huang, Jeromy Ko of Nom Life, and Kalamatas Kitchen were among the nominees in the category which “recognizes excellence in a single food-related post, or compilation of up to three posts.”
“I’m still shaking. We made it!!” Erwan wrote in his Instagram post which features a photo of him wearing a barong Tagalog and a James Beard award medal hanging from his neck.
