Communications and Digital Deputy Minister Teo Nie Ching, Penang Caretaker Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, and Swedish Ambassador to Malaysia Joachim Bergstrom inaugurated the production. “With the manufacturing of 5G equipment in Malaysia, it is heartening to see that Ericsson will also boost local manufacturing capabilities and nurture a strong ecosystem to spur the development of new and innovative 5G cases and services. Across many industries, 5G will enhance connectivity, speed, and reliability for businesses and consumers alike,” said Teo, who was representing Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil.
