Equipment believed used for online gambling found in burnt apartment
Police have opened an inquiry into a fire that broke out in a Cheras apartment unit, following the discovery of equipment believed to have been used for online gambling. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, April 13, 2019.
EIGHTEEN CPUs and 16 computer monitors, believed to have been used for online gambling, were found in an apartment unit that caught fire in Taman Pertama, Cheras, last night. Cheras district police chief Mohamed Mokhsein Mohamad Zon, in a statement today, said the force was informed of the discovery by the Fire and Rescue Department about midnight.
