Mauricio Pochettino has finally spoken out following his departure from Chelsea two weeks ago, announcing on social media that he will be returning to Stamford Bridge in the near future. The Argentine led Chelsea back into European competition during his first season, despite a tumultuous start.
He, however, parted ways with the Blues by mutual consent in May. Chelsea have since named Enzo Maresca as their new head coach, a decision confirmed on Monday. Pochettino 's exit surprised many, especially given his close relationship with the squad and a commendable sixth-place finish with only three losses in 2024.
Despite the unexpected separation, Pochettino expressed his gratitude and fondness for Chelsea in a heartfelt message on Instagram: “To the owners, the sporting directors we appreciate the opportunity to return to the Premier League at this great club and for the support you gave us, as well as from all the players, staff and fans - thank you. “We understand how important this football club is to you all and that is why we work so hard to give you a Chelsea you can be proud of.
