EPF members will still need to pay installments if they take loans under the Facility Support Account 2.

Over the weekend, the Employees’ Provident Fund informed its members who wished to take out loans through the Facility Support Account 2 that they still needed to pay monthly installments.

The explanation was made by EPF in a statement via their official Twitter account on 7 April to clarify inaccurate information that has gone viral on social media.Payment will only be made to the banking institution when the member has reached the age of 50 to 55, subject to the member’s choice of withdrawal age. At the same time, members need to make monthly installment payments as prescribed by the banking department.
